On November 3rd, 2020, the China Clean Transportation Partnership (CCTP), World Resources Institute (WRI) and Beijing Institute of Transport Development (BITD) jointly organized the 11th seminar -- Focusing on the 14th Five-Year Plan: Discussions and Recommendations for Charging Infrastructure Planning. More than 30 experts from 25 different institutions nad organisations participated in the conference to discuss the challenges and development trends of charging infrastructure planning.

In June 2020, the California Air Resources Board voted to pass the "Advanced Clean Truck Regulations", which is the world's first mandatory zero-emission regulation for medium and heavy trucks, which has important guiding significance. Not only that, California has been a leader in the United States and even the world in the formulation and implementation of automobile emission standards and related regulations. In order to evaluate California's "Advanced Clean Truck Regulations" and its experience in the electrification of commercial vehicles in China, iCET conducted a systematic understanding of the formulation process of the regulations and consulted extensively with experts to form the report "Deep Dive on California’s Advanced Clean Trucks Regulations Feasibility Analysis on its Applicability in China" The report is expected to form a reference for the electrification of commercial vehicles in China.

While automobile industry continues to develop rapidly in China, it also brings energy shortages and environmental pollution problems. Accelerating the cultivation and development of energy-saving and new energy vehicles is an urgent task to promote the sustainable development of the automotive industry. On November 2, 2020, the General Office of the State Council issued the "New Energy Automobile Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", which will further encourage and promote the development of the new energy automobile industry.
